Ulrike, who graduated from the BCIT Technical Writing certificate program in July 2011, is a multi-faceted individual, having worked in electronic publishing, earned a BA in cognitive psychology, and written extensively for cycling publications and organizations. Whenever our family moved, I would jump on my blue Supercycle and explore the back streets and ravines then rush home to write down the stories that welled up inside me. My mother joked that I’d grow up to be a writer, and I believed her. My best achievement is when my writing has provoked someone to think, feel, or understand.
