Seasons Greetings to members and visitors!

The STC Canada West Coast chapter has contributed to our vision of making a difference in our community by donating $300 to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society. This contribution arose from the generosity of the chapter's volunteers. Many elected to donate the funds slated for a volunteer appreciation gift that they would have otherwise received in appreciation of their contribution to the chapter.

Thanks very much to Ben Hechter, for this idea, and apologies to those volunteers who weren't given this option but might have wished to contribute to the food bank. If others wish to make a donation, you can do so online. Due to some magical law of karma, donating $1 to the food bank results in $3 of food becoming available to those who need it. May all beings be happy, fed, and warm this winter.
