Apply Now for the 2008 Julia Broderick Scholarship and Be Entered to Win Admission to DocTrain!

The Society for Technical Communication, Canada West Coast Chapter, is pleased to offer the Julia Broderick Scholarship again in 2008. The application deadline for the 2007/2008 scholarship is March 31, 2008.

Eligibility is extended to all technical writing students in their final year of study who wish to pursue a career in technical communication,
regardless of which post-secondary writing program they are enrolled in. A scholarship of $750 will go to a deserving student in their final year.

As an added bonus, on top of the $750 award, we’ve arranged for a student ticket ($599 value) to this year’s DocTrain West Conference to be set aside for one student who applies for the scholarship. We’ll be conducting a draw from the applications we receive for the scholarship this year. The conference will be held May 6-9, 2008 Vancouver, BC. This is a fantastic opportunity for students serious about pursuing a career in technical communication.
