Julia Broderick Scholarship Award Winner for 2007

The STC West Coast Chapter is pleased to announce the 2006/2007 Julia Broderick Scholarship Award goes to Christine Rowlands, a recent graduate of the Print Futures program at Douglas College.

It was at Douglas College that Christine discovered the creative potential in the fields of technical writing and writing for the web. Christine has been writing a personal blog for the past three years and loves this form of web publishing. Recently, she was an editorial intern at Self-Counsel Press. Along with proofreading and copyediting text, she also had the chance to create many of the interactive features on the CD-ROMs that are sold with each book.

Christine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and lives in New Westminster. Her website is www.christinerowlands.com.
