(IDI), a consultancy engaged in content management consulting, content development, and user experience consulting, has been named an Associate Fellow of the Society for Technical Communication (STC), the world’s largest professional association for technical communicators. Bailie will accept the award at the annual STC conference to be held in Las Vegas in May 2006. “It is truly an honour to be recognized by my peers,” says Bailie. “Joining the ranks of the Associates who came before me validates all the work I’ve done, and will continue to do, to raise the profile of technical communication as a much-needed profession.” Rahel Anne Bailie recently fulfilled a three-year term as a Director on the STC international board, is a past president of the STC Canada West Coast chapter, and currently serves as the chapter innovation coordinator. Kent, Associate Fellow, and Sheila C. Jones, Fellow. In 2001, Vancouver-based world-renowned geneticist, academic and broadcaster, Dr. David Suzuki, was named an Honorary Fellow of the STC. |
