2005 Competition Award Winners

STC Canada West Coast chapter is pleased to announce the winners of the local 2005 Technical Publications competition. The winners of our chapter’s Technical Publications Competition are:

  * Janeen Weir and Leila Meyer, Maximizer Software, Inc., Enterprise eCRM Training Guide

Award of Excellence

  * K. Michael Brazill, Kyla Teplitz, and Robert Wilson, Applied Precision, LLC, Getting Started with DeltaVision (submitted from STC Puget Sound)

Award of Distinction and Best of Show

  * Janeen Weir and Leila Meyer, Maximizer Software, Inc., Enterprise Administrators Guide

Awards were presented at our winter party on January 27, 2006. The Technical Publications competition recognizes and encourages communication excellence. Last year 27 STC chapters held a Technical Publications competition. Members from the STC Snake River (Idaho)chapter served as judges for our entries and we judged theirs. Both chapters used the same criteria for the judging exchange. Three-judge panels evaluate entries for design, production, copyediting, content, organization, and graphics. Winners are selected by consensus and distinguished winners are eligible to advance to the international competition. Maximizer Enterprise Administrators Guide has entered the second round which takes place in March 2006.
