I’m an occasional contractor and interested to hear what web based tools you use in your business.

A few I use:

Blinksale (http://www.blinksale.com) for invoicing

Harvest (http://www.getharvest.com) for time tracking

jing (http://www.jingproject.com) screen captures

Google docs and calendar

You?

Hi Kevin,

Nice list of apps. I use Google Docs a lot, especially to keep track of my stuff between clients. I was thinking of signing onto a service that hosts Google Apps under my domain name, to provide a modicum of privacy.

I’ve even played with publishing docs for external viewing.

The STC Web Re-valuation committee is using Zoho projects for project management, collaboration, and applications. We moved there from a Huddle.net site.

Theresa Putkey set up a Basecamp workspace for the chapter website redesign committee.

I’ll have to look into those apps you mentioned, because I’m switching from PC to Mac and need to be as universal as possible. Web-based works for me.

Kevin! I’m so glad I followed this thread. Tiddlywiki looks like something I can use right away. I wonder how well it secures.

Jing looks pretty cool—thanks for sharing!

I use Freshbooks (http://www.freshbooks.com) for time tracking and invoicing.
One of my clients uses Basecamp for project management—it isn’t perfect, but it works.
