November 2002 Program Meeting

Come and join us on Tuesday, November 19th for a presentation about the fine art of planning your finances and managing your money. Kendra Sivertson, together with her co-presenter Andy Freeman, will be talking about some of the major issues which face the growing number of people working on contract or experiencing longer periods of downtime between full-time jobs.

Some of the things which will be discussed during the presentation are:

  * How do you maintain a more stable lifestyle even when your income is fluctuating?
  * What is money management, how does it help, and how can small changes make a big difference?
  * What strategies can you use to prepare f or retirement when you don’t have a company pension plan?
  * What other things do you need to consider when you are not covered by a benefits package?

In her role of providing financial guidance to clients who are mostly entrepreneurs, professionals, and highly skilled individuals, Kendra Sivertson helps a lot of people to deal with the financial repercussions of the changing job market. This promises to be an interesting and informative evening, and we look forward to seeing you there.

Kendra Sivertson and Andy Freeman are both Certified Financial Planners with Freedom 55 Financial, where they work with a team of experts in the areas of investments, insurance, and tax planning. Kendra has been in the industry for six years, with Freedom 55 Financial and with a local Credit Union. She has a Certificate in Financial Management from BCIT and an honours degree from York University. Andy has been with Freedom 55 Financial for seven years, has a degree in Economics from UBC, and was born and raised in Powell River.
