May 2004 Program Meeting: Back to Basics

Five experienced professionals gave concurrent presentations, each on one of the core competencies in our industry. Presentations focussed on basic skills in the areas of technical writing, marketing writing, editing, information design, and indexing. Participants were able to select any combination of three topics to attend, as they moved in a “musical tables” fashion from one topic to the next. The presentations were short, but packed with useful information. Many thanks to the presenters, who came extremely well prepared with handouts and invaluable advice based on their personal experiences.
