Meet Vancouver recruiters who find writers on behalf of clients, and technical communications professionals who opt for consulting. Each panellist represents a unique perspective on employment options. Listen as they explain the pros and cons, merits and alternatives to staffing, and landing work on your own.
Mike Cook, Director, IS Solutions, provider of consulting services since 1999. The company specializes in staffing large-scale projects. Writers, trainers, and communications support from the STC-Canada West Coast chapter were hired for a current project.
International Wordsmiths Ltd.
Sheila C Jones, President, International Wordsmiths Ltd, runs a technical writing company that emphasizes plain language. Sheila holds the distinction of STC Fellow.
Robert Half Canada
Victoria DeBoon, Director, Technology Services at Robert Half Technology guides organizations through staffing needs and looks at contract and contract-to-hire solutions.
Monkey Valley Enterprises Inc.
Karen Rempel, President, Monkey Valley Enterprises Inc. and senior documentation specialist with 16 years of experience as an independent consultant will speak about how she finds work, and work finds her.
