Current chapter volunteers and anyone who is interested in finding out more about volunteering with the chapter are encouraged to attend the volunteer training and information session in May. Topics will include:

- Reviewing volunteer roles and responsibilities
- How to use the new web site technology
- Using the wiki
- Understanding the budget

When:  Saturday 12th May, 10am to 1pm
Where: Welch Room 1, YWCA on Hornby

Over the last 3 years, the chapter has adopted new technologies and processes and welcomed many new volunteers.  The aim of this training session is to ensure that all volunteers have the information and direction they need to carry out their tasks effectively.  It also serves to encourage and inform those wishing to take on a volunteer role in the chapter.

It’s unfortunate that this clashes with the annual STC conference, but it is the only date we can do this before the strategic planning session in June.  The information and resources presented will be posted on the chapter wiki after the event.
