Program Meeting: Top 10 Mistakes Writers Make When Looking for Work

January 2006 Program Meeting: Top 10 Mistakes Writers Make When Looking for Work

Have you never been called for an interview after submitting résumé after résumé? Or interviewed for a position you wanted but didn’t get? Chances are you made one or more mistakes that scuttled your chance at landing the job.
At this meeting, professional recruiter Jack Molisani presented the top 10 mistakes tech writers make when looking for work, with proactive tips on how to avoid these pitfalls and increase your chances of landing that next job or contract.

Jack has been a project officer in the Space Division of the United States Air Force, the manager of training and documentation of a multi-million dollar software company, and currently is the founder and president of ProSpring Inc., an award-winning technical communication and staffing firm (http://www.prospring.net). He is also producing LavaCon: The Fourth Annual Conference on Technical Communication Management to be held October 1-4, 2006 in Hawaii (http://www.lavacon.org).
