About the STC Technical Communication competition

The Canada West Coast chapter of the Society for Technical Communication has issued a call for entries for the 2009 professional technical communication competition. This is a chance to be recognized for your best work. Just imagine the thrill of telling a client about your award-winning piece!

The competition is open to all technical communication professionals; you do not need to be an STC member to enter. Categories for submissions are:
• Technical Publications
• Online Communication
• Technical Art

You may submit an entry to more than one category. Winners have a chance to compete in the STC International competition.

Who is Eligible

STC members and non-members are eligible to enter. The STC is now accepting submissions to the Technical Publications, Online Communication, and Technical Art categories.

Entry Rules

• works must have been produced after September 1, 2007
• works must be written in English
• works must contain sufficient technical, scientific, or medical content
• works must have been accepted for publication
• works must be suitable for public display

The fees for each entry are as follows (Canadian dollars):
• STC members - $75 per entry
• Non-members - $100 per entry

Submission Deadline
The deadline for submitting entries is October 16, 2009.
